  1. Wired and Wireless controllers disconnect randomly

Just recently I have experienced random disconnections with both my Wired and Wireless controllers on my XBOX One.

It's particularly noticeable on Battlefront as it renders the game unplayable, the prompt "please reconnect your controller" constantly displays.

It appears to work normally for a time after switching on the console but it disconnects randomly and then proceeds to get more and more frequent.

What can I do to resolve this? Everything I see online appears to only suggest this happens with Wireless controllers rather than with both.

    Thank you.

    :)

    360 controller interference?

i also forgot to mention that the controllers will turn off or disconnect after extended periods of use. Both wired and wireless.

  3. Continuous disconnecting.

It happens to almost everyone who uses wireless. You randomly disconnect every hour or so. Switching to wire should resolve this issue. Happened to me and most of my friends who were wireless. Wired resolved the issue.

  4. Wired and Wireless controllers disconnect randomly

    Hey there, mrpauliewalnuts!

Generally, these controller issues end up pointing towards the controller. We don't have any official wired controllers; are you talking about using a USB to microUSB cable to connect or charge your controllers?

With the wired ones, if you are using the cable to connect your wireless controllers, I suggest making sure to try a new cable. The best option is to use a cable that comes with the Play and Charge kit, because then you can see the light on the microUSB side
that helps determine connectivity (orange if charging, white if fully charged/connected).

Lastly, I suggest checking out our Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect support article. There's a ton of troubleshooting that
should be able to help you out.

Let me know how this all goes for you. I'm happy to help get you to the right spot to get this resolved if you ever get stuck. Wired and Wireless controllers disconnect randomly :)

  5. Thanks for the reply, It isn't an official wired controller (USB to Micro USB cable) but this issue occurs with my official Wireless controller as well (replaced batteries in this to make sure).

I'm at a loss as to why this is happening so any help is appreciated.

  6. Interesting! Do you use the same USB port on the console, or is this happening on all ports on your console?

The wireless connection issue is generally resolved by getting a console repair done, and you're right that it's generally only wireless. However, the wired issue is definitely weird. If it's happening on all ports, have you swapped out the cable you're
using? It may just be that the cable itself is failing and that's what's causing it.

Let me know! We can dig further if need be. Wired and Wireless controllers disconnect randomly :)

    controller disconnect

It does work wired. Randomly disconnects using it wireless. Nothing close as far as router or microwave.
