WIPE OLD PROFILES

So many people are having to put "X" or "I" in their gamertags because once a name has been picked, even if it has been deactivated for years, it stays reserved.

Why not wipe the old profiles that are no longer active? Open up all the old gamertags again so we don't as many "xxRICHARDxx"

Wipes out local profile

my kid signs up to play online and now his local profile has been wiped. Not happy Mincraft...

 

Does deleting my profile delete my downloads?

I want to sell my xbox one in order to buy the slim version. If I delete my profile then will that wipe my downloaded games too? I want to sell it with the games on the hard drive if possible. Can I then upload my old profile and games to the new console?

 

They did that a few years ago but only bad things happend so they probably wont do it again

 

Not to mention that just because a gamertag isn't being used, doesn't mean the Microsoft account connected to it is not.

Why should people lose part of their account just because someone else wants it.

 

Just come up with a different unique name. Why is it such a big deal? You have to realize these are connected to peoples personal accounts, who may even play windows based games.

Think of a different name, it's not hard.
