Windows10 Game DVR

Hi

I've been using "Shadowplay" to record my gameplay for awhile but have recently been having a plethorum of issues with the software so I decided to give Game DVR a try and i'm honestly surprised at how well it works.

However I have 1 issue which i can't seem to figure out, perhaps it's a setting that i've missed. I'm mainly using the recording software for it's background recording function, but perhaps i'm misunderstanding it? As far I know it should function the same
way that Shadowplay's "instant replay" functions. it records your gameplay in the background and once you hit the replay button it saves the past x amount of minutes that have gone by.

In the case of Game DVR i've set background recording to 10 minutes, However when i've played for awhile it ends up being a ~3min 50 second recording. My feeling tells me its limiting the file size to around 1gig per save (as thats thats the filesize of
every clip), but i'm not sure. Any idea what i'm missing or what I need to do in order for the software to actually record the 10 minutes (or less, depending if i'm saving another clip before another 10 minutes have passed).

Current settings of the Game DVR

Background Recording 10 minutes

Max length recording 30 minutes

Record Audio on

60FPS

Video Quality HIgh

PC specs:

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz

Nvidia GeForce 760 GTX

Trimming Clips doesnt work properly in Windows 10 Xbox App

I've had the trim feature cause a distorted image (on 2011 dell laptop on board GPU, 8GB RAM), or pauses/skips (2013 IMAC 8GB, running bootcamp/windows10). I have not had problems when I trim videos using the xbox one hardware + game dvr app.
