Windows wireless adapter for Xbox controller defect

I recently bought a Xbox controller with a USB wireless adapter for a Windows PC. It very quickly stopped working (it doesn't light up and it doesn't connect to the controller). I have tried every piece of troubleshooting I can find, multiple PC's and the adapter simply doesn't work. Annoying but fair enough, I will just get it replaced since it was clearly defective when I bought it.

But when I go under "devices" in my Microsoft account and try to get it replaced I can't. I need to send in the broken one to get a new one, but I can't get Microsoft to generate a shipping label, so I can send in the adapter. I have tried multiple times over multiple days. No luck.

So I try to use the chat system to reach a human to help me sort it out. After chatting for litteral hours over two days, the tech support tells me that there was a block preventing me from recieving my shipping label and that they have sorted it out, but I need to wait 24 hours before I try again, so their fix can be applied. I tried after these 24 hours and I get the same excact error.

Which brings me to now. I have a defective adapter (which means I have an unusable controller, since my PC doesn't have Bluetooth) and I have spent upwards of 8 hours over the course of a small week trying to get it replaced. The automated support system can't fix it and neither can the tech support people. I am so tired of spending this much time just to send Microsoft a broken peice of plastic that costs only 30 dollars.

What do I do? I feel like I have done everything in my power, but I recieve no help.

    :)

Hello mikkelwr, I totally understand your frustration.

There might be an error that is preventing your from receiving the sipping label!

In this case, you may want to be patient as that would take some time in order to be resolved.

What you can do is to try to contact the support to get updates about your status.
