Windows Wireless adapter disconnects from PC when Phone is plugged in

Hello all,

I use the wireless adapter for windows to connect my controller to my PC. How ever if my phone is plugged into my PC then the wireless controller disconnects and the controller just blinks. If the phone gets plugged in before my controller is turned on the controller will never connect.

I have tried:

Restarting PC

Updating device

Removing and reinstalling wireless adapter

Re syncing adapter and controller

moving Adapter do different USB slot

Connecting the controller with a cable and disconnecting both with controller turned on and off

The controller can be plugged in and working just fine but as soon as I connect my phone to my PC it just disconnects

When the issues comes up there is a error next to the wireless adapter in my device manager and it says the deceive cannot start (code 10)

What am I missing?

do you have the wireless xbox adapter for pc plugged in (needed for wireless connection), or are you using bluetooth on the pc (needed for bluetooth connection to the controller).

the following three ways to connect the controller:

1. USB C cable

2. Bluetooth

3. Wirelessly using the xbox wireless adapter for windows 10 (about 24.99 from retailers)

so this happen when headset is connect to wireless adapter only (remove the Bluetooth connection to my phone)

When headset disconnect with wireless adapter the connection with Bluetooth(phone) connection with the phone still there. I'm able to reconnect with the adapter anymore. My thought was because of Bluetooth but I don't think that it.

Don't have controller.

That wireless adapter you're thinking of can be found here:
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-wireless-adapter-for-windows-setup This accessory is specifically for the PC.

If you're seeing issues with your controller disconnecting, I know that can be a bummer. There's a great guide for getting that under control here:

I asume you are talking about the official Xbox Wireless Adapter Controller.

Is that is true, you can follow the steps described in here for connecting it : https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/...ories/xbox-wireless-adapter-for-windows-setup

If not, the other solution is :

Plug the Wireless Adapter to your PC

Connect your Xbox One Controller to your PC via USB cable

When the controller is connected, unplug the USB cable from the controller

At this point, the controller should be paired with your Wireless Adapter (or at least, that works for me everytime!)
