    Why doesn't the Windows Volume Mixer have a separate volume control for the XBOX One App?

    I can control volumes for other apps. It would be nice to lower the XBOX App volume or even Mute it independently.

    Sound/Music are to quit since the update today

    Oddly, the advert stills plays at the "correct" volume. Weird. I know.

    If you go into the Volume Mixer (in Windows) there are two instances of Microsoft Sudoku - which is also odd.

    No Sound in the XBox Music/Video app

    Have you tried to check your volume control? Sometimes for some odd reason Windows can lower volume for some applications. I haven't had a chance to install Windows 8 quite yet, but if you know where to go to get to the volume control portion of the OS check
    the volume mixer for Xbox Music and see if the volume bar is all the way up.

    This is what the sound mixer is for. Although it would be nice to control the volume, say via a slider or something in the snap window for quick volume control.

    I also use windows 10 app but when i use chat mixer and want game volume loud the chat volume goes low. But with mobile app I can turn bluetooth volume up, independently from game volume... works great til i get a call.

    Thanks for the response. I did the hard reset but still have the same issue. Under Settings>general>volume & audio output, then under "volume options" chat mixer is there. The problem is getting the chat mixer to appear under system>audio where it shows
    "headset volume" "mic monitoring" and "chat mixer". The last one "chat mixer" no longer appears in the systems audio section.

    Any more suggestions?
