    Windows store lets me sign in on some accounts but not others


    For the past few days, I have been attempting to log into Microsoft store with my account, but after I type in my username and password, I am met with error code 0x8007003b or other similar messages. I then spent the next few days watching videos and trying anything that popped up to fix it, but nothing worked. I then decided to hit the create a new account button and when I logged into the new account, it worked. But I was still connected to my former account on everything except Microsoft store and Xbox. As happy as I am to find out it still works, I still want to be able to sign in with my former account with all the apps and games I purchased on it. Could you please help me out, I have tried everything.

    Gamepass is a joke

    The Xbox App uses the MS store to do it's downloading. Make sure you are signed in on the Windows Store app the correct account as well as the Xbox app.

    If you're signed in on Windows or the Windows Store with a different account that you use for ultimate it could cause some issues.

    I see, here are some steps to try:

    - Make sure you are signed into the Microsoft Store with the same account that purchased the game. Open the Microsoft Store and check your account in the top right corner. If it doesn't match your game account, click the profile picture to sign out then sign into the correct account.

    - Reset the Microsoft Store: Type wsreset in the Windows Search box, right click the first result and select "Run as Administrator" After some time, the Microsoft Store will re-open.

    - Delete and reinstall the game: you can delete a game or app by right clicking it in the Start menu. It can then be redownloaded from the Microsoft Store or Xbox App's library.

    Are you signed into the account that redeemed the code on the Windows Store? To verify the proper account is signed into the Windows 10 store, click your Microsoft Account picture next to the search bar and you should see the exact email address that is
    currently signed in. Let us know what you find!

    xbox app stuck on checking for updates forever

    This is what fixed this problem for me ON PC

    • open windows app store (microsoft store)
    • log out from your primary account (in the microsoft store)
    • go to windows services
    • stop "windows update service"
    • erase contents of folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
    • restart your computer
    • open windows app store, log in yourself
    • start xbox app (beta)
    • download game

    If repairing, terminating, and sign out sign in and a lot of other annoying steps dont work. This did.
