    Windows Store crash when I attempt to install an app. No message, no error code, nothing, just close...

    I tried a few solutions I found on internet without success...

    Any idea?

    Xbox app crashes when playing videos

    When clicking on a video in the activity stream, or in the store, the Xbox app will crash

    If the video begins to play automatically in the activity stream, it will not crash. It's only when specifically clicking on the play icon.

    This happens in both the built-in Xbox app and also the beta Xbox app in Windows 10

    Trying to download Halo Wars 2 (Play Anywhere) on my pc crashes the Windows Store app

    I have a Microsoft Surface Book 2 with the dedicated GPU running Windows 10 with the latest build and all updates installed.

    I purchased Halo Wars 2 via my console.

    When I pull it up via the Windows 10 store app, I get the green button "Install" I press it and about 5 seconds later the Windows Store app crashes. It never downloads.

    Rebooted. Checked for more updates. All looks good.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Na3r!

    Try resetting the Windows Store through the command prompt (cmd) and running the command "wsreset.exe".

    There are several reasons why Windows Store, Xbox App, Halo 5 Forge or Halo wars 2 will crash on start up. Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps yet?

    Yes, when I trouble shoot it says Windows Store cache may be damaged, if I try to clear the cache it says "ms-windows-store:purgeCaches, the app didn't start".

    Configuring XBOX-One Elite Controller on Windows 10

    Hey Hammer,

    unfortunately this link ist associated with the Windows Store, so it just does nothing on my Win 10. I tried to manually copy the corresponding app files from another computer over and registered them. Which kinda worked, but the apps crash after starting.
    I tried even to register the Windows Store this which crashed also.

    But I found a workaround:

    As the controller saves the config itself, I installed the XBOX-Accessories App on another Windows 10 - Box (with working Store) and configured the controller from there. Saved configs remain in the controller and I can live with that behavior. Maybe the
    Anniversary will fix the Store und I will certainly make a backup of the corresponding files when uninstalling it again.

    Xbox App on Windows 10 not working

    I'm not sure how I can even access the game files because the WindowsApps file is locked and admin rights don't suffice. As already said the actual installation of the app crashes the installer/Windows Store.
