Windows Phone 8.1 games not showing in xbox live account

Hi,

I've got a Nokia Lumia 925 with Windows 8.1 and the latest updates installed. I also have an Outlook.com email account registered with the phone. The phone is also shown as a device on my Microsoft account.

I have an xbox live account using the same outlook.com email address. I have the free version of xbox live.

My gamertag is exactly the same on my Windows Phone and my xbox account. So no issues there.

I've recently started to play games on my Windows Phone and so far have two games installed. They are: -

Lara Croft Relic Run

Dredd vs. Zombies

The games play absolutely fine and they show up in the Games App on the phone.

The problem is they do not appear on my xbox live account. I was expecting the games to show in the My Games tab. Apart from my avatar and gamertag nothing else is on my xbox account.

Why do the games not show on the xbox live account?

Is it because I've only got the free version of xbox live?

Or is it because Windows Phone 8.1 doesn't sync with xbox live accounts.

Can someone help?

Xbox One can run Windows 8.1's new universal apps

CAN run. CAN. Not "will."
PLEASE don't everyone totally freak out about this. Understand that there is a "Universal apps" thing Microsoft is working on, to make it easy to develop apps that run across Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1, and Xbox One.
I cannot stress this enough: This does NOT mean that all those apps in the Windows Store will suddenly show up on your Xbox One.
What this does mean is that developers will be able to deploy an app to Windows, Windows Phone, and Xbox from a common code base. They'll have to make the interface different for the phone (portrait), windows (landscape), and TV (10-foot UI). They'll have to account for controllers and Kinect.

PC games that I've played not showing up in activity feed

Hello Lifeandcraft,

The Xbox App's Activity Feed will only display activity from games on the Xbox Live Service: Xbox One and Xbox-enabled Windows 10 games, plus you can view achievements from older Xbox-enabled Windows games (eg Windows 8.1), Windows Phone games and Xbox 360
games.

same here, the sims freeplay doesn't show up in my games... Anyway, i see you've got a bunch of helpful replies regarding the reasons for that )))

I cant add new neighbours to the sims freeplay because it is not appearing in my profile (xbox). In my account only appears the mahjong game but its not the only one I play. If the sims doesnt appear i cant add new neighbours.

That part I understand. So why is the XBOX Games app working for the phone and not for the Windows 8.1 PC or tablet? At least they should have shut everything down across the board or shut down the ability to access XBOX achievements on the phone as well
as the Games app there and keep the Windows 8.1 version running.

OK. I don't know but it is possible that they are beginning to phase out connecting to XBOX cloud services on the phone as of yesterday, because in April, it was working quite OK. Support ends in 2023 for Windows 8.1. But they should make an announcement
concerning the XBOX services. Because although support for Windows Phone 8.1 ended in 2017, the XBOX services were working quite well. They were still working for the phone even after the Store closed down. I don't know if it is a case where they are now ending
the XBOX cloud services for all gaming apps on Windows Phone 8.1.
