    Windows media center

Hello and I hope you're all having a good day, so I'm curious if anyone else has this problem or if it's just me Do any of y'all out there have trouble with your Windows media center coming up in a different order on your 360 than it is in your computer.
Like some of mine are coming up well we'll say a TV series for instance 1 2 3 5 4 6 when on my computer it's all in order

    :)

I've never noticed any issues, though I rarely browse it on my PC. Did you try changing the sorting options at the top?

  7. I've always found it easier to use the System Media Player than Media Centre. I find Media Centre to be more trouble than its worth.

You would just want to match whatever you're sorting things by on your PC.

The system media player isn't as advanced as WMC and will not play recorded TV, live TV, or a lot of the other features that WMC offers.

  10. I never had any problem playing back recorded TV though the system media player, what format* are you recording it in?

Even if you have an incompatible format grabbing something like Universal Media Server (www.universalmediaserver.com) will let you stream any format to your 360.

As to Live TV, why not just watch it on your TV instead of streaming from your PC to your TV?

Media Centre just isn't worth the extra effort.

    *Format, codec, container etc.

  12. If you are watching Cable and Satellite then surely those providers have issued you with a set-top box to watch their content?

You were doing it with DRM free recordings then, which is a thing of the past with practically all cable providers now. If you want to record TV now you need a cable card device. WMC and tivo are the only systems I'm aware of that you can legally play back
    DRM protected recordings.

Some of us don't want to pay ridiculous fees to rent outdated technology when we already have other devices that are more than capable of doing the job.
