Windows doesn't detect XBox One controller is plugged in

Hey. Im trying to use my controller on my computer but Windows 10 doesn't recognize that it is plugged in. Microsoft says Windows 10 has it's drivers pre-installed but I can't find them in Device Manager and I'm unable to find a working Microsoft Link to
some drivers. Any Ideas?

Hello,

I have 2 xbox one controllers, each works well while plugged via usb to my computer (windows 10 pro), but when i connect the two of them at once, i can't play any game with a friend (tested : Castle Crashers, Rocket League and Dragon Ball FighterZ). The
games only detect one controller (even though the Xbox logo on both is active). The Xbox Accessories app detects both controllers, and its menus work with both.

Make sure no one is signed into the console and turn everything off/unplug anything plugged into the console. If you have a wheel or controller plugged in it sometimes automatically detects as #1 position.

After everything is unplugged turn the Xbox back on with the controller and see if that works!

Drivers should install automatically when plugging the controller in.

Try removing the device from the Device Manager and changing USB ports.

If that doesn't work, it would be worth downloading the Media Creation Tool and choosing to "Upgrade this PC now" to reinstall Windows 10. You can choose not to lose any files or installed apps; so it should be less of a hassle.

As long as Windows can detect the controller when you plug it in, it should work. I use a Logitech F310 and it works fine. You don't need an Xbox branded controller. If you're launching the game from your Steam library, there may be an issue with how Steam
is managing your controller. Personally, the only issues I've had with controllers is from Steam, not Windows itself.

Try going into the Steam settings and removing your controller profile, unplug the controller and plug it back in. If this doesn't fix the issue, try launching the game outside of Steam.

I bought a xbox one controller with cable for my computer, I use windows 7 and I can not run my stick. It is not detected in peripheral and the printer driver is not detected in the device manager. I did everything updated, Driver Uninstall I know what to
