Windows cannot access the specified device Error while trying to open games

Looks like I'm having an issue like a previous thread, unresolved but the thread is locked for some reason.

I'm having issues opening up all pc games downloaded from the xbox app:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

This happens after I turn on my computer and try launching the game. I have found a work-around by opening up the xbox app for a minute or two before launching the game after startup, but it requires a restart.

I am on windows 11

The previous thread stated that this has been an ongoing issue for some users since windows 7. Pls, help.

I did and it does work on the other profile, so i can use it as a last resort. I would like to have it working on my main profile though, i dont like to switch between them

the error has been occurring on windows 11, but nothing has been published about the problem by microsoft so far, and it does not occur with all users.

it's probably some problem with the windows 11 profile that was created first, but I wouldn't know why.

Have you tried to enter another account to create another profile and test with your account log into the app and the store?
