Windows audio and Xbox Elite Series 2

    Connected my Elite Series 2 controller - Have updated it through the accessories app, fiddled with the settings -

    works with games for input and sound with USB connected.

    However I cannot get sound with Bluetooth connection.

    The settings for audio input to xbox controller disappears when not plugged by USB.

    Is there a way to keep sound through the controller with Bluetooth connection or do I have to have a physical

    connection for windows to use it as a sound output device?

    Xbox Elite Controller 2 will not connect VIA usb or Bluetooth to my pc

    The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    Yes I mean Xbox Elite 2. I isolated the issue using it in a series S, same audio problem. Controller updated latest firmware.

    I'll clean the jack and comeback with my comments.

    i have the standard issue for xbox one x an elite series 1 and an elite series 2 and i can honestly say the elite series are worth the money
