Windows Achievements

For games that are on the Windows Store and on the Xbox (but not play anywhere titles), do they have the exact same achievements, or do some games have some differences, like the Windows version lacking them?

So to be Precise not all windows 10 games provide achievements with their games as opposed to the same game on Xbox. If its a play anywhere title the achievements are combined with Xbox One and if it Windows 10 they have a separate list if the developer
chose to include achievements for their windows 10 game.

If it is a "Games for Windows LIVE", then yes, they will have Achievements and you use your Xbox LIVE Profile to Sign-in. If it's just a "Games for Windows", no it will not have Achievements.

They are two different games.. the one with 3 achievements is the Windows 8 version.. the one with 20 achievements for 200 points is the Windows Phone 8 version.

PC games running from the Microsoft Store or the Xbox App should have the same achievements as their Xbox console version. Some of them have separate achievement lists, and achievements can be earned twice on both platforms, as seen with Minecraft, for example.

Keep in mind that, for example, games that are part of EA Play or Ubisoft and that are played on PC do not have Xbox achievements. This is because these games run from their own Launcher, even if you have access to them through services like Game Pass.
