windows 8 gamerpic

hey im new to the whole windows thing and i just want to find out how to change my gamer pic from my windows 8 laptop please note i DO NOT have a xbox so if the way to change it is there alone let me know..thanks in advance

Gamerpic mismatch between Windows and Xbox.

I had the same thing happen, made sure my public and friends gamerpic has been changed. Windows 8 still shows a VERY old gamerpic I haven't used in a couple of years. Odd to say the least.

 

Windows 8 Shows old Gamerpic

The games app shows the old picture when it signs in and shows my profile. My Microsoft ID photo is the correct, up-to-date photo.

Whenever I'm in a game (Monsters Love Candy, Adera, etc.) and it signs in to Xbox LIVE, the old photo shows up there as well.

You can change the gamer picture on here…

BUT you can ONLY change it to a pic of your avatar by going in the avatar editor.

To change it to a normal gamerpic that you can purchase on the marketplace, you need to be on an Xbox console.

 

well that is not true, you can change it like mine were you can take a picture in the avatar editor on xbox.com and make one like customkristoff did for his gamer picture

(I did use an xbox to change the background to what is on mine and halo's)

now like halo said you cant do an one that you purchase on the live market place, can purchase avatar items though
