    Windows 7 won't detect Xbox one in add devices,


    Help .....

    I have everything switched on correctly in network settings, I've followed what people have said in older threads but still no joy,

    I've tried renaming Xbox ,flushed DNS etc but it still won't detect in add devices,

    Can anyone please help as this is bugging me right out now lol

    XBOX one Controller 2015 with usb cable to win 7

    Hi,

    I have a brand new xbox one Controller and try to add this Controller to Windows 7.

    If I connect this Controller via usb to Windows 7, i see a unknown Controller in the Windows device Manager.

    But if i try to find Driver via automatic update, no success.

    If i install the device Driver xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64.msi, i see a unknown Controller in the Windows device Manager too.

    It doesn't work under Windows 7. Using Windows 10 the Controller is kown and the device works.

    Any idea what i should do?

    Windows 8.1 not seeing XBox One

    My Windows 8.1 PC will not detect my XBox as a Play To device. They are one the same network. I have also made sure that the Video app is running on the XBox. Any suggestions?

    Hi jumbo71,

    Are you trying to stream music and movies to the Xbox? If so please do the following.

    1. First of all, ensure that you have Media Streaming enabled in your Xbox One settings. (Settings > Preferences > Allow Play To Streaming [check-box])
    2. From you Windows 7, or Windows 8 PC; browse to:

      Control Panel > Devices and Printers
    3. Select (Click) “Add a device“, this will search your network and hopefully will find your XboxOS device; when you see it, select it, and click “Add this device”.

    Just to add to what Internet Expert has said.

    When you connect up an external hard drive to a PC that has been formatted to the Xbox One, it won't be detected straight away - this is normal. To enable the drive again, you need to run the Windows 'disk management' tool which can be found by searching
    for it in Windows. This tool is available in all versions of Windows. If your hard drive is still physically working - without any clicking sounds - it will be detected here and you will be prompted to 'Initialise the device'.

    If your hard drive is not being detected here, and or is making odd noises, it has failed, and you'll need to replace it.

    If you can get Windows to detect it and it shows up in your computer now, you should be able to re-attach it to your console again and re-format it from there.

    I had a similar issue last year. My external hard drive stopped being detected. Luckily, it hadn't failed and I was able to get it working again using Windows.

    Streaming Media from my PC to my Xbox One

    I can no longer stream movies from my laptop to my Xbox One. I'm running Windows 7 and haven't had any connection issues. It worked fine before, last time I used it was 1am on July 27, 2014. I have xbox video, and tonight I discovered I no longer had the
    option of "Play To". I tried to delete XboxOS from devices and add it again only to discover it can no longer be detected as a device. I've spent over 2 hours looking for a solution with no resolve. Can anyone help?
