    Hey so I bought the $2 game pass with Gears 5 Ultimate Edition. I play with windows 7 but plan to play Gears 5 through steam, but I realized you can't get the xbox app unless you have windows 10. If i buy gears 5 standard edition on steam and I log into
    my xbox account to play on steam will I get the rewards you get from the Ultimate Edition? or do I just need to get windows 10 or play on xbox?

    I read that as for purchases not for entitlements from subscriptions. But, I'm open to the possibility of being wrong.
    Well, they've also said that if your Game Pass Ultimate expires, and you buy the standard version at some point in the future, then you still keep the Reach characters (and I'm assuming the Terminator ones too).

    It wouldn't surprise me if they carried over.

    You should be able to play the Steam Version without any issues, But Upgrading to Windows 10 would also be better to get access to Game Pass and Security Updates since Windows 7 Support is being dropped soon
