Windows 11 Xbox App can't launch apps

    Windows 11 Xbox App can't launch apps


    With the Windows 11 version of the Xbox app. I can no longer launch any new games. Old games still work, but in troubleshooting I uninstalled all games and reset the Windows Store and Xbox app, but games cannot be launched. Nothing happens and it appears that nothing shows in the event viewer. If I try and run the app as an administrator I get the message. "This app can't open. Check the Store for more information about %insertgamenamehere%" No other erro code besides that one.

    On a side note, apps that are downloaded straight from the windows store do work.

    I did an in-place upgrade from Windows 10. Everything else has worked fine on thew system. Recent windows updates as well as updates from the Microsoft store have not fixed the issue.

    I would try to do a clean install of the system, mate. I haven't installed Windows 11 yet waiting for the launch but I will copy the system image to a flash drive, save the important files on an external hard drive and format the hard drives and install Windows. I like to do this so as not to bring anything buggy from the previous system.

    That's odd. How did you install Windows 11? Upgrading from Windows 10 or doing a clean install with the tool/flash drive?
