Windows 11 - Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher

I am trying to install the Minecraft Launcher on my Windows 11 PC. Every time, I reach the Minecraft Updater, it gets about 90% of the way done, and I get a popup box reading "Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher". I've looked online for answers but most of what I find seems specific to Windows 10 (though I've what I can from those, but a lot more seems to be hidden in Windows 11).

Here is everything that I've tried so far:

Uninstall/reinstall launcher

Repair launcher

Reset launcher

Install launcher directly from Minecraft website rather than the Microsoft Store or XBox

Running as administrator (account type is already set to administrator)

Restarting in safe mode

Turning off Windows Defender firewall (don't see an option to turn off Windows Defender, but I did turn off periodic scan. This is the only antivirus software on the computer.)

Changing permissions for the launcher folder itself (received an "unable to enumerate objects in the container" error on that)

Installing under a different user account

Ensured no Minecraft-related background processes are running

Checked for Windows updates and driver updates

I'm sure I'm forgetting some but that's everything I can think of right now.

This is a new computer (about a month old) and I've never been able to install the launcher successfully. Now that both Java and Bedrock editions are available with one purchase, I need to get it to use the launcher. I am at my wits end. Please help.

Edit: I've pulled up the launcher_log.txt document. There are several error messages. I can post the log if it will help. Thanks!

Thank you so much for responding! I actually had that going as my workaround for Java and launched Bedrock directly, but once the new

version of Minecraft came out Bedrock stopped launching.

I did just try to remove the new launcher, reset the windows store, and install the Windows 7/8 one again, but I'm still getting the error message.

About the in-place upgrade, actually is basically the same steps, but instead of downloading Windows 10 ISO, download Windows 11 ISO:

In the meantime, you can try couple things more:

1. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case it is the one that is causing conflicts

2. Perform a clean boot keeping games and files on your actual Windows version, in that way you're going to have a clean installation of windows system. For all this, in the link below you can see steps (in case the in-place upgrade don't work)
