    Windows 11/Surface Pro 11: Can't Download Roblox Because "Already Own It"


    Googling, I know that this computer isn't built for gaming but I'm not worried about that because I was able to play it with only some graphical issues and that was fine.

    1. I downloaded roblox from the browser website after clicking to install it when trying to play a game, installed it, and started playing it but disliked the functionality with the keyboard + touchpad, just hard to play. I took the keyboard off thinking it'd bring up the mobile touch-icons to move around but it didn't, so I tried to figure out how to enable that by googling.
    2. I couldn't find anything except one thread from Reddit and someone mentioned downloading Roblox from the Microsoft Store and it fixing their issues, but when I search it from the microsoft store app it doesn't show up. I uninstalled Roblox anyways, only the Roblox player was showing up to actually uninstall from the apps setting, and then I just deleted Roblox Studio(?) and the installer from downloads.
    3. I searched for Roblox in the Microsoft/Xbox store in the google browser and it told me that I already have it installed which is understandable but the instructions say:

      "Go to My games and apps, or My library on your home device, to download it. If you’re gaming from the cloud, it should be ready to go."
    4. Searching for "My games and apps" (or "games" or "apps") and "My library" doesn't give me anything so I can't figure if it's there or not. I had to press the "get" button maybe 15 times because the xbox loading icon just stopped and disappeared as quick as it came up, and thats when it later showed the "already own" it prompt. This is where I'm at now.
    Just need to know: how can I download roblox with it being touch-screen friendly, at best the mobile equivalent.

    - This is just the main thing I was trying to figure out after downloading and playing a little.

    Helpful to know if: is the Roblox I originally downloaded still somewhere on my computer, and preventing correct downloads? Is downloading it from the Microsoft/Xbox store on the google browser okay? Is it normal it doesn't show up on the Microsoft store app?

    Any info/help is appreciated.

    I have already tried those. Short of reinstalling windows 11 I am not sure how to deal with it. I would be inclined to say it is a roblox issue, except for it working perfectly fine on the 2nd computer that also runs win 11 and roblox on identical type of hardware.

    I got Windows 11 Home 22H2. Also roblox was downloaded from the site and not from microsoft store because if you use the microsoft store version the mouse keeps going out of the screen.

    well as arm is not a supported architecture for windows 11 and that most of the games in the xbox app require x32 or x64 you will have issues even in a virtual environment. the xbox app places the games in a secure folder, this folder has to be on an ntfs drive or it will not work.
    I keep hearing this, but the new Surface Pro X is running the SQ1 and 2 chips which are based on ARM and those devices run Windows 11. Do those devices not run the Xbox games either? I can't believe MS would do that...

    why wont xbox app let me download on my computer?

    Alright, it seems to be that the cause is that you are using the Windows 10 or 11 in S mode that's why you are unable to download the app. You can try to follow the steps from this link to switch it to Windows 11 Pro but you won't be able to switch it back to S mode already, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/swi...
