    Hi,

    For several weeks now I had a problem with my Xbox One wireless controller after it goes to sleep mode. When I start it again it goes back to sleep as soon as I touch a button or a stick. My only solution at the moment is to restart my computer...

    My firmware and Windows are up-to-date. The controller seems to connect well with the adapter. The problem really appear after a first automatic shut down for not using it between two start/restart of my computer.

    Something else I found regarding this problem: when I restart "Xbox Accessory Management Service" I can push the buttons/sticks of my controller without it shutting down. I can also see that the controls are working in the Xbox Game Bar UI. But as soon as I use my mouse or keyboard, it shuts down again and the problem remains.

    I wonder if something could make my mouse/keyboard become the main gaming device after my controller shuts down and if it could be the reason for it. But if so, why would it remain after restarting the service?

    I was also thinking of Steam Remote Play Together interfering, but even with Steam closed, the problem persists.

    My mouse is a Logitech G700s and my keyboard is an old Compaq RT7H00.

    I have found nothing on the web that really describes the problem I encounter, and even though I tried many solutions for differents troubleshoots, it's still unsolved.

    Can you help me fix this?

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to answer that.

    The Xbox One Wireless controller with Bluetooth can be connected to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable, Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, so yes, it can be connected via the adapter. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not
    compatible with an Xbox 360 controller and will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. I'll provide the support articles with this information:

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Based on what you've stated, it is possible that your wireless Xbox One controller may require an update to its firmware. This is a common issue most times when the controller is unable to bind
    to the wireless adapter or connect via USB cable.
