Windows 10/Xbox Live sign in Issues

I don't know if this is the app or not. But every time I try to play my owned, digital, Xbox play anywhere, Windows 10 copy of Resident Evil 7 I run into a dead end. So on starting, the Xbox Live/Windows 10 sign in screen pops up. Then it asks me to pic
a profile. So, I pick mine. Then it says click "Lets Play". After doing this it acts a like it will continue till a grey screen pops up, saying



"We Couldn't Sign You into Xbox Live"

Then goes on to say

"Invalid Pointer"

After a few seconds it goes back to the game and the game says

"No Profile Selected, You Will Not Be Able To Play The Game Unless You Select A Profile"

I click close, then the Xbox/Windows 10 sign in screen pops back up. Same stuff, won't sign in with some "Invalid Pointer" issues.

Any help?

I'm thinking he is referring to Xbox Live Gold. If that's the case, they've confirmed that you will not need to pay for Xbox Live Gold to access online modes/games for Windows 10.

I suggest giving your PC and network devices a full reboot and it may also be a good idea to sign out, and then back into the

Xbox App to re-establish connectivity to Xbox Live.
