Windows 10 Xbox App Will Not Connect To The Internet

I'm using an HP Pavilion Laptop with Windows 10. Xbox app worked fine for the longest time. Then all of a sudden, the Xbox app refused to acknowledge my internet connection. My internet connection is working fine as I am able to make this post. However,
the Xbox app thinks my computer is not connected to the internet and keeps prompting me to try again to connect. When I press try again, it always fails. How can I get the Xbox app to register my internet connection which is working just fine? I have tried
to upload a picture of the problem, but this forum post composition window wont let me.

Xbox on Windows 10 "needs an internet connection."

Every time I try to connect to the Xbox app on Windows 10 it says it needs an internet connection even though the PC is connected to the internet.

 

Xbox 360 SmartGlass not working

Same issue as the rest of you. I am trying to connect using Windows 10 laptop (version 1709 and connected ehternet) and Windows 10 Surface (versión 1709 and connected wifi). My Xbox 360 is connected to the internet via Ethernet. The 360 Smartglass
app will bring up my profile but will not connect to my Xbox 360 (console settings allows for Smartglass connectivity)

 

Hey Raven Rahl,

Is there any troubleshooting you've attempting thus far such as restarting your PC or resetting your modem/router? If you're using the standard version of the Xbox App, you might also try installing the Beta version of the Xbox App to see if that helps.
