Windows 10 Xbox App - unable to connect to Xbox One

Hello,

I have an Xbox One and PC, both on the same wired network.

On the Xbox One, under Xbox app connectivity, I have allowed Play To game streaming, Game streaming to other devices, and allowed connections from any device. (Following advice from: How to Use Game Streaming in the Xbox App on Windows 10
)

However when selecting "Connection" in the Windows 10 pc Xbox app, the system does not automatically detect my Xbox One.

To troubleshoot, I looked at Troubleshoot Xbox App Game Streaming | Xbox App on Windows 10 , went into the Xbox Settings |
Network | Network Settings | Advanced Settings, and found my Xbox One IPv4 IP address. I entered that, selected Connect, and am told "We are not able to find an Xbox One console with the IP address provided."

Both are on the same 255.255.255.0 subnet. PC address is 192.168.0.19, Xbox One is 192.168.0.18.

'Turn On' Xbox One Not Working But SmartGlass Does

I am unable to turn on my Xbox One from the Windows 10 Xbox app, receiving the following error message "We are unable to turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as your console and your console is set to instant-on".
However, if the Xbox One is already on, I can connect and utilize game streaming from Windows 10. On the same network, I can successfully turn on the Xbox One from the SmartGlass app on my iPhone and then connect to the Xbox One for game streaming from Windows
10. Any ideas for how to get the Xbox One to turn on directly from Windows 10 without having to use the SmartGlass app?

For the Xbox app on your computer:

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps using the link below. This can help remove problems with an app from Microsoft Store.

Step 2: Check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store. Kindly click the link below to proceed:

Step 3: Delete Temporary files. This will help delete temporary files that have been stored on your computer.

Click Start and click Settings.

Select System.

Select Storage.

Select This PC.

Click Temporary files.

Choose Temporary files.

Click Remove files.

Step 4: Reset Xbox app from Settings

Click Start and click Settings.

Select System.

Select Apps & features.

Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.

Click Reset. Restart your device so that the changes can take effect. Launch the Xbox app.

Troubleshooting steps on your Xbox One console:

Step 1: Clear MAC Address

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart. Access the game again and check if the same instance occurs.

Step 2: Reset Xbox One console.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console, select Reset and keep my games & apps.

I don't know exactly which step worked, as I got as far as clearing the MAC address when I stopped to try streaming again - and this time it worked!

I am having the same issue. Today connecting through the windows 10 app and smartglass app on my phone is unable to connect to the xbox automatically or by specifying the IP Address
