  1. Windows 10 Xbox App - Not getting Notificiations

I have been getting problems with receiving notifications for party chat invite on Windows 10. And last night, I think it completely broke as I got nothing. I have asked my friends to resend invites since I wasn't getting notifications, so I couldn't join.
I had made sure that settings in windows is set to receive notifications in general and xbox app specific.

    5 initial invites. Nothing.

I signed out of xbox app, close app, and signed back in. 5 more invites. Nothing.

Restarted computer. 5 more invites. Nothing.

Uninstalled beta and regular xbox app. Reinstalled. 5 more invites. Nothing.

Is there a setting or something I need to do in order to get notifications working 100% of the time?

    Thank you.

    :)

  2. Changing gamer tag

You can't change a gamertag into a previously owned one but you could sign in to the Windows 10 Xbox app with the old one though.

This link will give you you all the info you need to sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10.

Windows 10 Xbox App - Not getting Notificiations

    Hi,

Issues in receiving notifications on Xbox app may occur due to server connection errors or if your account privacy settings are blocking the invitations.

To resolve your concern, we recommend the following solutions:

Solution 1. Check your privacy and online safety settings online.

    1. Click on this link and check if
Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites is set to
      Everybody
      or Friends.
    2. Under Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety, set Join multiplayer games to
      Allow.
    3. Save your settings.

Solution 2. Use a different account.

This is to test if the issue is with your profile or with the server. To switch from one account to another, you can follow the steps on this

    link
    .

  5. Hi there! thank you for the reply. I did make sure that all of those settings were just as you pointed out. Still did not get any notifications.

I did however make a second account, and used the app on a secondary computer with that new account. Invited the main account to a party chat and it worked. And asked my friends to send another invite and it worked.

I dont know why notifications are finicky with windows 10. But thats my temporary fix at the moment.

    Thank you for your help.

  7. Hi there. I dont think my account is banned or suspended. As I can get invites through xbox....its just the notifications on Windows 10 doesnt always show up.

It has to do with the Teredo Error blocking my connections. Cause when I go to Network on the xbox app, it would always say its blocked by Teredo. And I would have to enable Teredo everytime I turn on my PC, which just recently it started doing.
