  1. Windows 10 Xbox App Crashes when I try to change tv volume

I can connect to my xbox using the windows 10 app. I can use the controller in the app to control my xbox just fine, but when I connect to my xbox and click on the volume setting (as to change the volume for the tv up or down) it crashes on me. It has been
doing this for a few weeks now, not sure what has changed because it worked just fine before. I did not remove the xbox app but i did go into the add \ remove programs in windows 10 and did a reset on the app. It did not help.

When I check the eventvwr this is the error msg.

I'll give it a try when I get home, but I read it on Reddit that one needs SmartGlass to delete it. I upgraded my phone to Windows 10 and no longer have SmartGlass. The Xbox app on Windows 10 crashes the second I go to Messages.

    Hi,

There are different factors that we have to take into consideration on why you are experiencing this issue with the Xbox app on your Windows 10-based device. To properly isolate your case, let's answer the following questions:

    • Have you tried signing in a different Microsoft account to the Xbox app and check if the same instance occurs?
    • Are you experiencing issues with accessing other apps as well?

XBox stops controlling television and cable box

When I say "Xbox, Volume Up", the Xbox pops up the window saying it heard me correctly, but the TV doesn't change. Voice commands that the xbox acknowledges but don't work:

    - changing volume

    - toggle mute

    - changing channels

    - power on tv at startup

    - power off tv at shutdown

    And many more!

I'm starting to think that maybe my Kinect is broken.

    xbox one most needed apps

For whatever reason apps found in the Windows App Store are not compatible with the Xbox One. I would have figured since they had this trove of apps available they would have made them compatible. But apps are coming. In regards to the setting the volume,
that would require 2-way communication between the TV and Xbox. Currently the Xbox has no way of knowing what volume your TV is currently set. So your best bet would be (if this app existed) to set the TV at the volume before turning it off.
