Windows 10 Xbox APP crashes 98% on all video uploads after update

Many people are having this problem, Xbox APP just crashes at 98% of the video upload. It's not from using a 3rd party editor, I use the official XBOX app to upload and get the same results. 98% Xbox APP crashes, video does not get uploaded to our feed. Pictures
do upload without issue. I've tried trimming clips to 30 seconds or less, same result. Now this only starting happening after one of the recent Xbox app updates on Windows 10.

For me it happens constantly on Forza Horizon 3,Gears of War 4, and now Quantum Break for Windows 10.

Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 has told me numerous times after taking vids/screenshots in Windows 10 that it doesn't even know what the game is hah.. "unknown game". Can't upload much because of the crashing issue on videos.

This is on the MSFT side of things, not the uploader's system files or hardware.

Hello, I'm unable to upload and share edited Game DVR clips in the Xbox App on Windows 10 to Xbox Live. App crashes each time 99 % of the clip is uploaded.

 

Cant upload DVR clips longer than 8sec

Hello, so I like to record clips with the windows DVR and upload them to the Xbox box app, but for some reason if i try and upload a clip that is longer than 8 seconds then the app crashes as soon as the upload gets to 98%. If anyone esle has had this
problem and fixed it some help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I guess we all have to wait until a newer build of the windows 10 xbox app eh? Gander around MSFT, lots of people are having this issue

 

Same problem here. Unfortunately Microsoft is never of any help. They couldn't even help me get a replacement usb cable for my elite controller. Spent 45min on the phone and talked to 3 different people before one knew what the elite controller was and claimed
to know what its usb cable was. Despite making it clear I was looking for the exact stock cable I was told to buy a usb hub. I have no hope this will get fixed. Every time at 98% the xbox app crashes and no video is uploaded. You would think being involved
in consoles and software this would be an easy problem to solve. The games themselves don't even work good and the xbox store is a mess. These play anywhere games and Microsoft gaming apps are just frustrating which is compounded by the complete unwillingness
to provide help or fixes. The video uploading is the simplest of all the problems so please offer some help or a fix. The xbox makes crap videos for upload and would really prefer to do horizon 3 uploads from the pc.

 

I had this problem before and I don't know how long until it was fixed but as of 7-1-17 this has started again.. it gets to 99% and the app just closes and I have to start it again and still no upload. I just uploaded a video 4 days ago and now this..why
bother when the losers at Xbox can't fix it or won't I'm not sure which is worse..lousy service and lousy apps make for a rich company..

 

I'm sorry, but this problem should be persistently happening still. It's super annoying and they've had two years to fix this.

 

Im having this problem also as a fan of Microsoft this is just another one of their bug that is getting the best of us but its wierd how some people can upload videos but MINE STOPS AT 98% AND I HAD SAT THERE FOR 3 HOURS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT
AND NOTHING WORKED HECK I COULD BARELY FIND ANYONE ELSE WITH THIS SAME GLITCH and i have tried everything such as restarting the application, trimming my video, saving a copy and trying to upload that and nothing has worked for me and i really need them to
fix this because its for a youtube video and im trying to make fortnite videos and microsoft is preventing me from doing that and so now i have to record the clips on my phone and make crappier videos and then no one will watch them you know i work so hard
on my youtube channel and all for this. anyway to the point here, microsoft needs to fix their stuff because they say there so good and everything but they have so many bugs in certain things that lots of people use that its sort of just getting to be annoying
dont get me wrong i love microsoft and everything but this, come on ITS BEEN 2 YEARS AND THEY HAVEN'T FIXED IT. im just frustrated because its such a simple bug to fix its not that hard and just why does the one time i get a nice clip on fortnite they all
of the sudden decide NOPE HAHA WERE NOT GONNA ET YOU UPLOAD THIS CAPTURE because it let me upload the first one and then it just... stopped. just please fix this microsoft... please.

 

Very disappointing. You would think they would fix this issue as it's basically free publicity for their platform but I guess they have a bunch of genius' running the show at Xbox.

 

@Everyone still having this issue.

There is a work around for the time being that works. If you collapse the Windows 10 xbox app (top left corner by the refresh button, picture attached) you can then upload the videos. That is the only way to do upload videos right now. I am not sure why
this is not being fixed or looked into. MSFT doesn't seem to care much. Cheers all
