Windows 10 Xbox App and OneGuide TV Streaming from Xbox One OTA

Hi all, should the Xbox One App be able to stream TV? I'm not on the Xbox Preview programme sadly which searches do reference TV streaming for; but can't find anything on the standard track. Have the latest Xbox App as of this post (8.8.15003.00000) but
no OneGuide shows. Game Streaming etc works fine but naturally its a bit cumbersome just use a controller just to have TV windowed on my desktop.

TV Streaming still works fine on the old SmartGlass app, but just wondered if I'm missing something?

OneGuide missing from App

They have officially responded on reddit:

"OneGuide, including the guide, TV controls, and TV streaming, were removed from the Windows versions of the Xbox app. To use OneGuide on Windows, get the Xbox One SmartGlass app in the Windows Store. OneGuide is still part of the Xbox app on iOS and Android."

How to increase volume of streamed TV in Xbox app

I am streaming live OTA from my Xbox One to my PC using the Windows 10 Xbox App, but there is a minor annoyance that the volume level is very low relative to all other apps on my PC. I can turn my PC volume WAY up to get to a reasonable volume, but then
any other sounds outside the Xbox app will be much too loud. Is there some way to adjust the volume of streaming content within the Xbox App itself?

Hi Alex.

I have Windows 10 and an Xbox One. I tried to stream what was on the TV app, but got a message indicating that app wasn't available to stream. Perhaps future updates will allow this.

Ah thanks Den Solo, nice to have confirmation I'm not losing it (well, regarding that anyway ).

Hopefully they'll update soon, seems an odd omission but guess a lot on their plates.

The Xbox One streams wirelessly to a pc that has windows 10 and the Xbox app installed on it.

It does not matter that a TV is connected to the Xbox One. The console does need to be powered on to stream.

seeing this issue with a USB TV tuner card (no HDMI)

Tried a "factory reset",

tried a full USB offline reinstall with no importing old data,

Even after a complete offline reinstall, I'm seeing this issue.

Getting this every time: one guide goes thru the scan, that's successful and picks up my OTA channels, but then launching the oneguide app gives "We've lost your TV lineup" "Do you want to set it up again?"

and then if I hit yes and set it up again, it just goes back to "lost" again, and if I hit no there's a blank screen and no TV.

How can oneguide OTA fail this bad? This is one of the reasons I bought an xbox one -- for the OTA live TV pause / rewind feature! it should be able to work w/ no internet connection!

To be clear, my internet connection is working fine for everything else, including xbox gold multiplayer games.

if the OTA scan works, oneguide should be able to show me live TV no matter what!
