    My computer was recently reset and it says i need to buy it again, even though I used a code from when i bought the Java Edition before it was reset and now the code says i already used it (which i did) HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

    Can the Windows Store verify an existing installation of game(s) downloaded previously or from files from another computer? Similar to Steam et al

    Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, you will need to click the install to download any digital content for PC.

    If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.

    Minecraft "for windows" won't install on new launcher.

    So I’ve had a similar problem and I found out that my pc tried to download it in the background and was paused, therefore everytime I tried to download windows edition through the minecraft launcher I wouldn’t get anywhere.

    I deleted the game file (typed “minecraft windows 10” to find it as I couldn’t find it in any directory) and tried re-downloading it again and it’s working fine!

    Thanks for the response, but this is for Windows XP and not valid for my problem with Windows 10.

    This problem only happens when I try and play Halo: The Masterchief collection as it asks me to log into any microsoft account and gives me the issue.

    I have also fully reset and re-installed windows 10.

    I'm afraid the old 'Games For Windows' Marketplace closed down some years ago now, including the servers.

    You won't be able to re-download these purchases from The Windows 10 store either.
