windows 10 halo wars 2 crashing

halo wars 2 crashing nomatter what i do to fix this and i have done everything i can on my end to full reinstall of my system tested all my rig updated windows and GFX drivers even did my bios reinstalled the game 5 times tryed with a diffrent user ect ect
ect post on the halo wars 2 343 site no reply from 3 post so trying here... any help is very much welcome and appreciated.

Can't download Halo Wars 2?

I had to reinstall windows 10 yesterday and I went to install Halo Wars 2 today but it says that Halo Wars 2 is no longer available. Does this mean I cant download the game anymore at all???

the "halo wars 2 ultimate edition" for some reason is not downloadable on windows 10 1803 update. please fix it.

Just to start out, when you uninstalled the game, did you try a full restart of your PC before reinstalling it to clear out any temporary files that may be causing issues?

 

tbh not sure if i did or not i will try and let you know.

 

nope still crashes after uninstall restart pc install same way only diffrence is it crashes way sooner when i did it the other way just uninstall reinstall it works for the day then starts messing up next day seems to mess up after i restart tbh 0-o

If you press Windows + G to bring up the Game Bar, are you able to clarify if Game mode is enabled and working for Halo Wars 2? Also, if you have GeForce Experience installed, be sure that it isn't make changes to the game, as that can often cause issues.

 

GeForce Experience has been uninstalled did a restart of the pc and i enabled game mode wil test the game and let you know.

 

alrighty i got about 3 games out of this without a problem then on the 4th game about 9 mins in the game just froze not all of it just my screen froze i could still here the combat as my units moved and killed the enemy units but no movment on the screen
it was stuck and all units where stuck funny thing is as well i could actually still select my units with select all unit button and click my mouse on the part of the screen it was froze to and i actaully heard the units move there and all the voices saying
roger and what not but everthing but my mouse and the commands was just stuck then about 3 mins later the game just closed down with this error

Do you run any third-party virus protection software? It looks like you might be having trouble with Visual C++ judging from that error and some software or viruses can affect it.

Try downloading this software, install it, restart, and then give the game another try.

 

i only use windows defender that comes with windows 10. anyway i downloaded both x64 and x84 from that link the x64 one was already installed so had to uninstall that before i installed it, the version installed was more up to date then the one on that site
but i did it anyway i have tryed everything else.. lol. the x84 one wasnt even installed so i installed and restarted. gonna try some games now and see what happens this time will let ya know. @Mister Maka BTW thanks for all the help much appreciated.

 

nope still the same as last night played one game for 17 mins screen just freezes to one point yet i can still command my units and tell them to move select them and i hear the sound but the screen is froze makes no sens what so ever 0-o i will try record
it so you can see and post it some where.

 

ok got a vid last about 11 mins but you can just skip to 8 mins or so shows what happens

make that 9 mins was 8 on the ingame vid 9 on the youtube one
