Windows 10 games achievements not displaying notification

Can anyone shed any light on why I am not getting any notifications of achievements unlocking in games in Windows 10? I have tried multiple games on the new game pass platform and although the achievements are unlocking there is no notification on screen.
I do get a notification on my mobile phone but absolutely nothing anywhere in windows?

I have made sure the xbox console companion app is set to send a notification, I have notfications turned on in my windows system menu, focus assist is turned off, and I have checked the connected user experience service is running and set to start automatically.
Despite all of this not a single notification anywhere when I unlock an achievement except on my mobile phone.

Can anyone give me any other suggestions of what I may be missing?

you are lucky sir. They DO pop up on my PC, but being that i'm playing the games on full screen mode, the achievement switches me to windowed mode, shows the achievement, then switches me back to full screen.

SUPER pain in the [Mod Removed- Inappropriate].

It would be even worse if the game used HDR - which only works in full screen mode. My screen would blink between HDR and non-HDR for an achievement pop-up. (games using RTX would do the same thing, RTX only works free screen... i think...)

Other overlays work (ie, afterburner) so an OSD for achievements should work too.

(The two games last did that did the window mode dancing where The Surge (poopy game) and Ori (pretty, but not for me.)

The game pass for pc is in beta still which means there may be things that are not working correctly. The MS team is aware of some of the issues but please use the built-in Feedback Hub to report any bugs you may be experiencing.

In regards to this matter, The
Xbox Game Pass for PC is currently in a beta state and thus a lot of features are not currently available or might not be working in the way intended.

There is a post that you can find
here that details most of the current issues and fixs, however, if you are unable to see your problem there, please use the built-in feedback tool within the Xbox app to help the engineers better understand the issue you are facing. Just click on
your profile photo and select “Feedback” from the dropdown menu to open Feedback Hub. Feedback Hub enables you to provide feedback about Windows and apps by sharing your suggestions or problems.

I have the same problem. I do still get the achievements (they pop up on my phone via the Xbox app), but my PC tells me nothing.

This problem came after I updated Windows and installed the Xbox beta app, so it might be a bug related to that.

So far I've only tried Recore and Ori.

And yes, I have notifications for achievements enabled in the Xbox settings and I have notifications enabled for all the Xbox apps in the Windows settings.
