Windows 10 Game Streaming LAG

Hi All,

Anyone had the issue of extreme lag whilst streaming games from the Xbox One to Windows 10?

Both devices are hooked up via Ethernet, Open NAT and ports forwarded too. My internet speed is 21mbps down with 1.8mbps Up, no other traffic on my line either to be dragging performance down.

Playing games notices around a 5 to 7 second delay, I thought the idea around streaming was it connects through your LAN? Any ideas?

All relevant steps are checked and the streaming test

saying everthing is good to go.

But it lags as you can see in the video.

 

My suggestion is to wait it out. Windows 10 still hasn't been officially released and I know a lot of the updates to the XB1 and Windows 10 are to correct streaming issues. Please standby and hope that it gets worked out before the launch of Windows 10.

 

Your internet speed will not affect local game streaming. That is dependant on your local network setup.

Can I have more info on your setup?

What type of ethernet cables do you have? CAT5e? CAT6?

How long are they?

How are they ran? Are all your devices fairly close or are cables ran through walls?

Are they all on the same router or do you have more than one router on your network?
