    Windows 10 Game pass achievements do not unlock


    I have been experiencing a weird glitch where achievements just do not unlock. Specifically The Evil Within 2, for example crafting achievements don't work, I have picked up the crossbow probably 10 times and nothing, the list goes on. My main issue is that I do not want to spend 30 - 40 hrs on a game where I can't unlock achievements especially beating the game on the hardest difficulty.

    There is almost no help anywhere online, and everything I did find did not work

    Step 1: Close the game.

    Step 2: Completely shut down the Xbox app and ensure it isn't running in the background.

    Step 3: Search for the Run command or push Windows Key + R.

    Step 4: Type "services.msc" and hit enter. A long list of local services will open in alphabetical order.

    Step 5: Scroll down to "Connected User Experiences and Telemetry."

    Step 6: Right-click, open properties, on the first page beside "Startup type:" ensure "Automatic" is selected.

    Step 7: Under that, make sure the "Service status:" is selected to "Running," then click "OK" at the bottom.

    Step 8: Scroll to the end of the services list, select "Xbox Live Auth Manager," and repeat steps 6 and 7.

    Step 9: Finally, find "Xbox Live Networking Service" nearby on the list and repeat steps 6 and 7 once again.

    Step 10: Close the window and restart your PC.

    I tried this about 3 times already.

    Do Achievements gotten via XBox 360 games on Gamepass not count towards Game Pass Achievement quests?

    Xbox 360 achievements do not count for the game pass quests. Only Xbox One and Windows 10 games that are on Game Pass.

    Not all games on PC have achievements enabled, that is not mandatory for publishing on the MS store for PC, hence titles in the pass may not have achievements even if the console version has them.

    As for Silence - The Whispered World 2 achievements should be enabled as for most play anywhere titles; checking on TA though the game is marked has bugged regarding achievements so it may be an issue related to the game.

    According to TA:

    - Achievements requiring multiple actions do not unlock on the Windows 10 version.

    - This game is known to be buggy; achievement progress may not track, and/or achievements might not unlock at all.

    You already get reward points for unlocking achievements, You get 50 reward points a day for unlocking an achievement. You also unlock reward points for unlocking achievements in game pass games if you have game pass, as well as playing game pass games, and PC games from the Microsoft Store too. You can also unlock points by doing certain activities in games as well.
