Windows 10 game bar recording audio corrupted

I have recently come across some problems with game bar recording audio. This was fine before and now problems have started to occur.

My mics audio is fine but my desktop audio is corrupted. the audio is normal for the first 10-20 seconds of the clip but after that it corrupts. The audio sounds like it would have been copied over itself with a bit of delay and added reverb. It is too really
grainy.

If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my computer is updated and the clean boot did not work.

BUT deleting my Bluetooth headphones drivers fixed the problem. You might want to look into that (I have sony WC-CH 500 wireless headphones, which drivers were messing with the recording). Luckily i dont rely on these headphones.

Thank you for the idea though.

Windows 10 is up to date. If this troubleshooting step does not resolve the issue, you can try performing a clean boot. A
“clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs,
so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. Be sure to let us know the results!

Hello no i was wrong i still cant record with audio. The time i can record before the audio corrupts is longer now but i still cant record without the audio corrupting.

Edit: i think it works but nor sure. Was downloading somerhing on accident.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. With recording your voice it will not do this through the game bar itself. You either have to do it through the Xbox companion app or have a capture card. As this guide for

setting up streaming windows 10 shows it will only record from the Microphone on the PC not the headset.

Recorded audio

Record game play with or without sounds from your game and your microphone, and choose the audio quality.

To record game sounds with your game clips, turn on Record audio when I record a game.
To choose a different audio quality than the default, select the Audio quality box and choose one of the options.
To record through your microphone, turn on Record audio when I record a game.

Thanks Brad. I went to the Companion app and it redirects me to the Windows 10 settings that you outlined above. Based on this, looks like the microphone has to be connected to the PC to record my own voice. Is there a way I can request this as a feature?
