Windows 10 beta is crashing when trying to open inventory or open chest

I have a similar but worst situation. I lost connection while in the nether, in a fortress. Now I cannot rejoin the realm (windows 10 edition). Soon as it says "Realms done!" either the pc freezes or minecraft app exits. I can go into local worlds. Right
after the first time I could no longer sign in to my xbox account from that user account and get error 500. The solution to that was to use another account, and then tie it to my MS account, but then trying to get on the realm presents the same problem above,
even from a difference PC. So technically I still have 2 issues.

I'm still having this issue. App works fine on a fresh install of windows 10, however as soon as I update the app crashes immediately when I try to open it.

Installing the beta app does nothing to remedy the issue.

This has been happening to me also. I started noticing this problem right after a major Windows Update a few months ago. I play Minecraft Windows 10 with my kids and we were playing a lot when after an Update my screen and sound started to freeze for
several seconds when opening an inventory window in the game. Not just my personal inventory but anything that has an inventory like a villager or a chest. Also when my screen is frozen the game is continuing to run in the background. Sometimes the screen
was frozen for as long as 15-20 secs before the inventory would finally open and my character was being attacked. I eventually stopped playing Minecraft because of this recurring problem that got more frequent and longer over time. So I took a break from Minecraft
and recently I went back to State of Decay 2. Right away the same problem started when switching from the main screen to an inventory page. So now it seems that Minecraft Windows 10 and State of Decay 2 share something that is causing this problem. Finally,
I’m not sure yet but it may connected to Temp files or temp internet files.

To help correct any long Loading time, a few things;

• Play the Game only from Installed on the HDD
  
• Keep your Save Files to around 10 or less
• Clear the Cache
• Don't keep a large Inventory of Items (Keys number 1 offenders) on your Character
  
• Don't keep a gigantic Inventory in any one Chest that slows down just trying to open it
