Windows 10 App Unable to locate Xbox One with IP address.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to help me, let me explain my situation. The windows 10 Xbox app streaming feature was very convenient for me, and I've enjoyed it a great deal, however, after a few days of using it, it has ceased working properly. Firstly,
my windows 10 app, constantly displayed my Xbox One as powered off, despite it being on. if I attempted to connect to it, I revived a message along the lines of "can't turn this on" etc. After troubleshooting to no avail, I clicked "forget this xbox" in hopes
of reconnecting it, after that I've been unable to re-connect the two devices. I tried to connect manually, but after typing my console's IP address no dice, I tried manually setting the console's IP settings with the information from command prompt under
ipconfig. No dice. I'm currently lost, and if anyone could give me a guide or help I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

ip address

I cannot find the ip address for my xbox one. On the windows 10 app I go to settings and network. then it shows no "advanced settings" in order to locate the ip address to connect my device. I have tried ip configure and that didn't work either. I've looked
in my computer settings. I cannot find the right ip address.....please help!

Xbox App - Cannot connect to console

I am having the same issue. Today connecting through the windows 10 app and smartglass app on my phone is unable to connect to the xbox automatically or by specifying the IP Address

I started having similar issues with my windows 10 xbox app and my XB1

not connecting a few days ago. it worked a prior and nothing new in

network. both are wire connected, also tried WiFi no go. Xbox 360 can

not connect with Smart glass either, Same with Xbox 1 (using different

versions of Xbox SmartGlass. Smartglass gives 0x80030004 error

everything was reboot and power cycled.

There are a lot of possible reasons why you are having this issue. One of which is incorrect network configuration settings. To help you resolve this issue, we recommend that you perform the troubleshooting steps below on your console:

Method 1: On your Xbox One Clear Persistent Storage

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Disc & Blu-Ray.

In the Blu-Ray section, select Persistent Storage.

Select Clear persistent storage.

Restart your Xbox One console.

Method 2: Clear mac address.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Method 3: Reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console, select reset and keep my games and apps.

After performing the steps, restart your computer and try to connect your computer and console.

Kindly provide us an update after performing all the steps above, so that we can assist you further.

Well, as much as I'd like to say that worked, I'm afraid it didn't. I preformed all three, methods, quickly glancing between each, to see if it had worked. Finally, after reseting the console to factory defaults and restarting my computer, I attempted to
connect the two but the same issue as before showed up. The console didn't appear on the list and when I typed the IP address in, the app said it couldn't be found on that IP address.

I'm sorry for the horribly long delay, I was out, anyhow, for some odd reason, after preforming those steps, no dice, but when I returned to my home, it was working perfectly! I couldn't say why, or for what reason, but yeah, it works now.
