Windows 10 and xbox party chat?

Does anyone know of windows 10 will be able to connect to the x1 party chat if we are gold members on xbox?

I was a gold user on the 360 and on some games i could barely use private chat on my pc when i wanted to play on it.

I'm not getting an x1 because i play mostly on pc , but was wondering with all the x1 and pc announcements, has Microsoft announce if the windows 10 xbox app will be able to use party chat with x1 gamers?

I don't mind getting gold again, hope this is possible at one point

I'm willing to bet that Party Chat is going to remain a Gold exclusive feature.

As much as Microsoft are trying to woo the PC gamer, they also know that the Xbox gamer makes them a lot of money via the Gold subscription. There's no way they want to risk losing that money.

 

Vaynel, I would say you are correct. They will let games work and stuff. But for features like chat and all that it will be part of the Live Gold package. I think MS could actually make that work. Make online gaming free, even on the One, and then have
Gold be all the friends and chat features as well as other stuff. Not saying they would do that but it is a viable possibility. The social features are a big part of the online package. You get people playing free and the party/chat features entice them
to buy.
