    Windows 10 and Game Streaming, replacing Elgato?


    Dear Xbox Forum members,

    I am planing to start a YouTube channel soon, I want to use my Xbox One as my main recording device and I found out hat you have to buy an expensive Elgato to make this possible. However I noticed that Windows 10 comes with an application for Xbox One that
    makes you able to stream your gameplay to your PC using Windows 10. I want to know if this feature (or app) has a good quality (1080p) and is the quality familiar with the current quality of an Elgato?

    XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

    Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

    There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.

    There is no built in streaming to the Xbox 360 console. Using the Elgato or another capture card would be the easiest way to stream that content. I agree, the built in streaming for Xbox One and Windows 10 is pretty great and can spoil you, but it's
    not available for the Xbox 360.

    Thank you for your answers, streaming from xbox to Windows 10 is complicated because I have such a bad connection for Twitch and I can not afford to buy an Elgato, thank you for your answers. Goodbye

    Awesome. All posts I found were from a month back. Wondering if maybe moving away from Windows 10 Insider Preview would result in a more consistent stream but don't feel like doing that. Or maybe I should invest in an elgato after all, for the reliability.
