Win10 xBox GameBar won't record after installing new GT 1030

Hi,

The 'GT' line of NVIDIA graphics processors lack NVIDIA NVENC support.

Without NVENC it's not possible to record gameplay in Windows Gamebar or NVIDIA's
own 'Shadowplay' application.

Recording on NVIDIA graphics cards is limited to the GTX and RTX hardware.

Thanks for the information. I have identified that your inability to record is due to your graphics card. The GT 1030 is a very low end GPU which does not have the hardware required to record your desktop in real time. For that you'll need a better graphics
card, the minimum I can recommend is the GTX 1050.

The recorder in gamebar can only record the game when it's running. If you drop to the desktop, this won't be recorded.

If you want to record the desktop you'll need a dedicated third party application.

Obviously you do not know that GT 1030 is well qualified for Game DVR requirements. For a matter of fact, the GT 1030 is a very powerful graphics card and is made as part of NVidia's latest GeForce 10 series. This is still new today, despite it being at
the low end of the GeForce 10 series.

Please update your system requirement list because a rubbish HTPC AMD Radeon Asus R5 230 is supported, but a 5x better NVidia GeForce EVGA SC GT 1030 isn't.

Yes, you need to go with minimum to get it to 'run' but even that's subjective. It might 'run', but it won't run good.

The NVIDIA GT 1030 is extremely low end hardware. A GTX 770 (which is the minimum the game supports) is at least 3x faster than the 1030, even though the GTX 770 is at least 4 years older.
