Win10 Game Streaming - Not working

All,

I have been looking around the internet, but have had no luck on this.

Xbox One streaming option is checked and there are no more available updates. I also tried to factory reset my Xbox today and the issue still exists.

When I go into my Xbox One app on my Win10 machine, i am unable to stream my games. When running the "Test Streaming" option, which results in a X for every quality.

Before this scenario, i would click Stream on one of my games and it says that my Xbox is out of date, which is not the case.

Looking for advice? Not sure if this issue exists with any other user or if i need to do anything special.

Win10 Xbox app not streaming

In the last few days I've started having real trouble using the streaming feature on the Windows 10 Xbox app. It had been working fine, then with no change to my set up whatsoever now nothing happens after I activate the streaming feature.



The app is convinced that it is streaming but all that is being shown is the background of the app itself, nothing from the actual console. Interestingly the Total Bandwidth is showing as 0mbps:

However, the Xbox itself (on the same network) is connecting to Xbox Live with no problems and no packet loss:

Admittedly the Xbox is wireless but in the same room as the router and this hasn’t been a problem until a few days ago.



Any advice would be appreciated

Hi ScarletSpider85, What version of the App are you using? Are you also experience this issue with Xbox App Beta? You can DL the beta version by going to the store on your PC and searching "Xbox App Beta".

Still looking for help on this. The "Stream" button on my Windows 10 Pro N desktop is not appearing. "Test Streaming" is the only option appearing. Xbox One app is on the latest. I have also uninstalled the app and reinstalled. The funny thing is, I am
using a Laptop, running Windows 10 and i am able to stream to my laptop on the same network. Is there a firewall or an issue with the network? Devices all have Static IP.

 

When you try the Test Streaming, does it not work?

It could well be a firewall issue on the PC, have you got a specific AV app running?

I assume your PC is on the same network? Do you have any virtual network adapters installed?

 

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble, BobcatPete! What version of the app are you experiencing this on? Are you on a wired connection with the computer you're having trouble with?

Sorry for missing this thread until now. This is occurring because the Media Feature pack is required for this feature to work in N versions of Windows. You can find and install that pack by searching for KB3010081.

 

Thank you for responding! Yes, the PC that I am trying to fix is wired via Ethernet. Test streaming does not work, it keeps on spinning and then ends up failing. I will try installing the media pack to see if this fixes my issue!

 

The media pack did not seem to work? I installed and rebooted the machine. I am thinking it may be a Firewall issue? Is homegroup required or anything I need to enable on my router. My PC and XBOX are setup with a Static IP. Not sure if this matters or not?
