    My hard drive crashed that had my original version of Windows 10 Insider edition . Had it since the first couple of days it was offered to Insiders . do not play many games like the fast action games but like to kill time with games like Spades and Hearts . Since my hard drive fried I installed another and downloaded a copy of win 10 Professional and got most of my programs back running but no matter what I do I cannot open a games as simple as Hearts now . Does anyone know how I might get back a copy of the Insider edition or tell me a way to fix this problem , Thank you all for any help , JRS

    These steps can help you, give it a try.

    Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

    1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

    2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the games too.

    3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

    4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

    5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

    I do not use xbox or its app for anything . Why do I need it ?

    Got it. Some games may use Xbox/Microsoft services. Proceed with what I mentioned, if the problem persists try reinstalling the game.

    If the problem persists, I recommend contacting the game's developer.
