[Win 10] Microsoft Solitaire Collection refuses to sign into XBL as of 29/08

Starting on 29/08, I've been unable to get MS Solitaire Collection on Windows 10 to sign into XBL.

Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, signing out/in and rebooting my PC. None of these have made any impact.

Snap Attack, Treasure Hunt, Minesweeper and the Xbox app all sign in without issues. Signing in via xbox.com (IE, Edge and Firefox) and my Xbox One are also unaffected.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection

When I try to sign in to MS Solitaire Collection, I get a sign in error "We could not sign you in to Xbox Live. Please check the Microsoft Solitaire Collection FAQ.... error code: 1170000."

Unfortunately I can't find this error code, or the answer at that link. I'm running Win 10. Help please!

I cannot sign in to play the Solitaire Collection on my Win 10 PC.

Un- and re-installed the collection and Xbox - not solved.

Do I have to re-install Win 10?

Decided to post in this forum instead, as you created this thread first. Also, I hate to leave threads unanswered.

I know the following article is for Windows 8.1, but I just want you to try it to see if it works out for you. Please could you read through the steps for "why can't I login to Xbox Live on the App?". The article is here:

Meanwhile I will continue to do a little more digging to see if anyone else has reported this issue before.

It seems to have fixed itself and now signs into XBL but now I can't get daily challenge progress to save. Some further digging has hinted that there may be a conflict with Win10 build 10532 but I'm not 100% sure that's the cause.

 

I'm having the same issue. When I open any other xbox game in Win 10 it logs me into my xbox account. But, with Solitaire, it opens the window for xbox and shows me logged in. I close that window to see the solitaire game behind it and it pops up another
window that says "No microsoft account" and gives me a login button or "play as a guest" button. The login takes me back to the xbox window and the cycle repeats. If it is any clue, I check the "don't show this again" checkbox in the error window. It still
always reappears.
