Will YouTube App ever get fixed?

Are we just suppose to get use to a worse layout and lower res videos? It'd be great if we could just use the old app.

Samsung Tablet Syncing with Youtube problem

Nothing was connected on the YouTube app via the tablet but I wiped all the paired devices via the YouTube app on the console. It seems to have been listed there which is strange as the only thing I ever synced with it was my phone

I've used the youtube app since i got my xbox one last summer and only ever had to activate my youtube account once and it stayed signed in to youtube whether the xbox was turned off or the app itself was closed. But today it started logging out my youtube
account evertime the app is quit from the xbox one dash which it has never done before. Is this a new "feature", an update, or a bug?

 

Every time I get a update I cringe. I know something is not gonna work anymore.

 

I actually like the new layout, and it seems like the video resolution took a while to buffer enough to get to the highest quality setting, but nothing that bothered me too much.

The thing that did bother me is that the command buttons. I use a Logitech Harmony universal remote programmed for using the Xbox 360 as a media extender from Windows Media Center. With the previous version of the app, I could use the OK button to make a
selection and the Exit button to back out to the previous screen inside the YouTube app. Since this update, these buttons no longer have any function in this app.

Now I have to use the blue button (A button) to make a selection, which is not one of the onscreen hints, and the red button (B button) to back out. The remote doesn't have these buttons in alphabetical order (A,B,X,Y), and they are not commonly used buttons
on the remote, so it is a little tricky finding the correct button, especially in a dark room.

 

I'm with you on this 100 percent because I hate the new app as much as you do.

Youtube update is terrible i have a list of problems but cant find anything good i hope they go back to old version

 

So many 'optional' media updates and now my youtube barely functions, all i get is "Unable to load channel" No video's available" and sometimes it buffers for about a half hour... can we not just go back to the old one?
