Will You Pay A Monthly Subscription (When You're Already Paying For LIVE)?

I am late to this thread and i don't know if it has already been mentioned but i hope that ESO does the same thing as Phantasy Star Universe. Silver members can play free while in the game.

 

It was my intention to get a new tv, a 2nd xbox one and two copies of eso to play with my babe. monthly sub? thinking twice about it now... sorry eso, you've been added to the list of games I won't try. Oh well.

 

What the makers of this game are doing regarding the sub is illegal in some countries, you cannot charge someone for something twice in Ireland its against our law to do that so MS would wanna sort something out there as we already pay to play online

 

One of the issues I'm having with this subscription base play. Is that there is really only one sever the Xbox one will use. The megasever. Same as what the pc is using, just a different one. Have not played the pc version. But ever day or so I see its
been taken down for maintenance. Take could turn a lot of players away, having to pay and not enjoy it as often as they like, if the go down very frequently. I know they need updated and maintained. But again using some of the Xbox servers would help even
the load out and probably cut some cost to.

They don't deserve any of the cash. The game feel like any other MMO with Elder Scrolls painted on top. The game is buggy as hell on pc and the game mechanics are so outdated. There's better F2P MMO out there. This will become F2P within a year or so.

 

Not to cause to much of a ruckus here but, I've been playing since before it released. I have some minor complaints and think they are being addressed as we go along. I'm new to this MMO stuff so I have my reservations as to what you are all complaining
about. I haven't run into one bug yet. Not one. My play style differs from a lot of my Guild friends and I'm still in the learning phase. I'm level 34 Nightblade and have difficulty with some of the battles. Over powered bosses seem to be the major cry baby
complaint here. Mostly from the "Lone Wolf" type players. You simply have to get with the program and join forces or die consistently. Not a problem for me. I play a lot so the sub has been no problem. I'm getting more than my monies worth. They have the maintenance
scheduled for twice a week. Scheduled!! There are no surprise attacks of server down anymore. The scheduled update is adding a lot of even more fun stuff to do. I have over 200 quests done and have only visited a fraction of the world so far.

I have to admit, I did not do well in the PVP world. They really need to add some live chat for this game to really improve. If you think your going to beat this game in a month, so sorry for you! Never going to happen. As is and this is JMHO. It's not going
to be F2P any time soon. Not even next year.

I do see some folks complaining every day! WTF, if you don't like it that much, STFU and stay home. You don't have to play! I'm having a blast and only ran into 1 person so far, that didn't like the way I did something. Go figure. lol I'm still going
to do another month on my PC and see if the new update changes anything in my favor. Oh! and we did get 5 days free just because we stuck it out.

Well, I for one, am sick of them trying any type of pay to play format. It's trash, and the only reason they are doing it is because people are paying it... get with the program people, if no one buys it, the pay walls come down.

Just make the games $100 and give all the content to everyone. Forget the ooooohhhhh special this, and special that, for 20.00 get this DLC or that DLC, get special Camos for 2.00 and a gun for 4.00....

Any game that is including an addtional fee, will not be found in my games library.

Seeing as how they are all pretty much going that way. I'm most likely selling my X1 soon.

 

I can respect that J H4RTM4N. This is just my entertainment. So until I find something more fun and easier. I'll keep doing it. I usually do wait for sales on DLC's and never really buy all the glitter for the game.

Your right though. If we stopped paying we'd see just as much content for less. I'm with you there.

 

Yep, I'll pay. I've been a PC subscriber since ESO launched and will continue as a subscriber on the Xbox One. Personally, I think that the game is well-and-truly worth it.

 

Surprised no one has mentioned that the sub fee was taken away. Yes their is a sub fee you CAN pay for which gives you 1500 crowns a month along with access to the dlc however you can just buy the dlc without having the optional sub fee if needed

I started this thread 2 years ago when they told us they were gonna be demanding a monthly subscription.

They've flushed the subscription fee. In fact on the website now "No monthly subscription fee" is actually a selling point.

I know it's not "Skyrim: Online" but it's own unique beast.

Now that I can get it without having to pay that greedy sub I'm happy to check out the game.

 

Heck I would have paid it anyways. Sub fees are something I am used to and don't see it as that big of an issue
