Will you drop your gold membership for a refund?

Anyway sorry for going slightly off topic. The point I was trying to make - competition is good. It is because of competition that Gold is improving. Win/win for gamers.

@electro, I'm sorry man, wasn't trying to offend. Just trying to keep the thread on point. Let's get back to the question all.

Will you get the refund???

@electro, LMK if you wanna play some halo 4, I can dust off the ole BR...

@lloydy. What games are brand new? And why did you comment on the "old" ports that are coming to GwG, and when questioned on all the old ports on the PS4 your comment is...Well " they're new to me" ...k...

@ hammer: None taken.

On topic: Again, after realizing, then weighing the pro's and con's. I'll keep XBL Gold.

As for competition: Which is great to have in the Corporate world. Here's hoping there is a reduction in price.

LIOYDY am not bothered about player base lol

I get a game easy i play on a website where we have over 1000 members playing clubs.even had few ps4 users coming on asking can we have ps4 league as clubs and fifa is dead for them or hard to get a club going.

Anway back on topic i should't of went off.

Wont be going for refund enjoy everything on offer

@stud many of them were new games Stick It To The Man, Resogun, Contrast. In fact all are new to consoles except DCUO & Dead Nation.

@lloydy, so you consider new games to a console as NEW. I get it...you forgot outlast, and DC ( I forget the the title)...all NEW. Old ports...all are kinda lame...you may have an appreciation for them but c'mon...nothing to cheer about...all the old games
with GWG were NEW to some. Do you consider them new? Or only to the people that never played them. Or only if they played on an xbox for the first time? You see your logic? Now let's stay on topic. You obviously would get the refund, so no more need to respond.
Unless your trying to derail a thread..

Will you get a refund???

Nope, I've kept a Gold account for one reason, and it's the same reason as when I was a beta tester for Xbox Live, to play online with my friends. GWG and DWG, and all of the media apps and all that other stuff is icing.

I personally wouldnt get a refund although an extra $90 would come in handy. I never subscribed to Gold for apps, and did it solely for the MP aspect. I've always seen the apps as an added bonus.

No, I actually have a 12 month card ready to put in. Mine expires in July after I put in a 1 month. But Gold for me is more about MP and the quality of that.

Lmao, no. I paid foe Gold in 2004 to play just one game online (Halo 2) and that was long before apps. It was mainly to play with friends online which Halo 2 did amazingly and still better than most games since 2004. Of course that spun into a lot of other
games I play online so if it was worth it for me with only one game, why wouldn't it be worth it for over 300 games?

I can't wait to see what discounts they give us & what July GwG will be.

Smart move by Microsoft. Ask for a refund and lose out on free games and discounts. I won't be going silver because I play online. I have cancelled my auto-renewal because I have a couple Xbox Live gold trials that I may as well
use.

The problem with these refunds is that they are likely to only be for those who bought directly from Microsoft.

After all I'm subscribed in this time in 2016 but I didn't pay £40 for my last Gold subscription but £27.99.

So how are Microsoft going to know that? They aren't are they and so are unlikely to offer refunds to those people who subscribe using pre-paid cards.

^Almost what I would have said verbatim... I'm glad they decided to allow Netflix users, et al, to get access without the paywall. But TBH the online gaming is what I have been
and will be paying for. All the extras are awesome bonuses that make the service worth the cost. No refund necessary.

Nope will keep gold as i like to play online
