    Will Xbox Play Anywhere expand to old games?


    I'm really happy to see Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2 are on Xbox One, credited to backward-compatibility. Unfortunately, they are not playable on PCs because they are not among Xbox Play Anywhere. Do you think Microsoft will expand the Xbox Play Anywhere
    to these old games or even all games that can be played by newest consoles?

    An Xbox 360 game will always be an Xbox 360 game whether it is played on the Xbox 360 or an Xbox One through backward compatibility, same with original Xbox games. They were developed to play on one console. It's only through the magic of back compat they
    play on the One. They are still Xbox 360 and original Xbox games to me.

    Xbox Play Anywhere is new Xbox One & Windows 10 games only, they have no plans to expand to older games. I don't think they will ever expand it to older games. A lot of the publishers would have to get involved and I don't think they would want to do that
    when they have newer games in the pipeline.

    It would be nice to see! I wonder if licensing issues play a part in the Play Anywhere content. If so then it will be a slow process to get Play Anywhere rolling.
