Azrael is correct. There are emulators made for every console every released on the PC. Those emulators were in most cases developed by one or two guys as a hobby. The last gen emulators haven't seen full development not because the ability isn't there but
rather the fear of getting sued.

Developing a 360 emulator app for the One would be easy for Microsoft and may already be sitting on a USB stick of a MS engineer/software developer that did it just to do it.

  3. It may be a challenge but they just don't want to do it. A brand new 360 is 175$ they want you to buy that machine to play it's games!

These consoles are not computers.. They are not designed to play every single game ever made. And too ask for it is just a stupid roadblock in this generation.

Really the way this community has dwindled into nothing I could careless about careful wording. I have spent much effort in this community over the years to be outcasted and alienated just because my views are different. I respect nothing about this place
and only cherish one thing from here!

The people that I have actually became friends with. The people who don't pretend to be real gamers. The people who understand xbox one is not been made and then purchased by themselves soo they can play a bunch of games they already bought and played!

Also Lei you seem like a very nice person I have seen your posts for months now and just want to clarify that my rage is not directed at you.

Also I still have my 360 cause I was also not numb enough to think we would get BC.

I knew that if I wanted too play 360 games I would need a 360... Which I don't want too play btw or my 360 wouldn't have ended up in the bedroom for too watch movies on.

  5. Hello "Listed mia 510" Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility? :)

I'm sorry, please forgive me Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility? :(

I agree with you in regards to the fact that if I want to play Xbox 360 games, I would play it on an Xbox 360. I didn't buy an Xbox 360 to play Original Xbox games.

I also agree with you that we need new IPs and a new console generation is the perfect opportunity to launch them.

In regards to remastering old games and releasing them for the Xbox One, I don't want the Xbox One game library to become reliant on remastered titles because for me this is a sign that developers are out of ideas; making me worry about the future of gaming
    in general.

" Some " remastering on the Xbox One is fine, but these remasterings need to be kept at a minimum so that new IPs and the next iteration of a game series will continue move gaming forward.

Have a nice day or afternoon or night Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility? :)

I just want an Xbox that can support every single game I'm sure it wont happen so I'm gonna buy 10 Brand New Xbox 360's and put them in my closet so when one of them breaks I can replace it right away so 175$ * 10 = 1,750$ plus taxes it's a good investment
to make sure I can always play my favorite games Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility? :)

    @Listed

So those of us who want backwards compatibility aren't real gamers? And how exactly would a 360 emulator be a roadblock?

Some of us "not real gamers" run out of next gen titles to play and wouldn't mind being able to go back and play some last gen games. The One marketed itself as the all in one so I think it's a perfect fit.

  9. @listed - You've also been offensive over the years. If you can't see this or refuse to believe it then there is no hope. Like many other topics, your obnoxious unvalidated opinion is shining once more in no less then a gamers thread.

To the actual gamers, Emulation is feasible this gen, there is no doubt. Specially for original XB, being x86 and all. I think the difficult thing is that the leap between 360/xb1 or ps3/ps4 is not quite as earth shattering as we had hoped.

  10. All in one media system. Not all games in one device. Go get a 360 if you ran out of XboxOne games or work more overtime so you can get more XboxOne games.

Don't expect them too put last decades memory's over the future!

If it ever happens it will be after MS has announced the discontinuation of 360 production.

Rippen is right. If it does happen then it will be after the Xbox 360 has officially ran its course and developers stop making games for it all together.

It took Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge to emulate a PS2 well. The requirements to emulate a 360 or PS3 are greater.
No, it's not. As emulation of that sort would be a significant bullet point and drive sales (not that anyone would use it), it would have been shouted from the rooftops if it was working. It's not, and there's no
conspiracy to keep it from being released.
