Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility?

What is your problem? How does playing 20 yr old PC games make me awesome? It was me making a point that I still enjoy the old games too.

You can play some Xbox 360 games on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. A full list of those games is here:

However, games for which there are both an Xbox One and Xbox 360 version are unlikely to ever be made backwards compatible, so if you wish to play that game on Xbox One you would need to purchase, either digitally or on disc, the Xbox One version of the
game.

This generation is probably gonna be the remake and remastered generation. Not necessarily a bad thing as the original Xbox and the Xbox 360 have massive libraries of fantastic games.

I agree. I don't mind remakes. I find that the older games have better gameplay than these newer ones coming out. But it seems like a lot of people are shouting for 1080p... and I think developers see this and so they strive for better graphics and put actual
gameplay and story second and third.

It doesn't matter to me " IF " backwards compatibility never happends on the Xbox One because despite the fact that I am not that tech-savvy when it comes to computer stuff, I know for a fact that the task of Backwards Compatibilty mind as well be impossible.

I want Microsoft to focus on the future with the Xbox One, but I also wouldn't mind " IF " Microsoft is able to implement Backwards Compatibility.

The only time Microsoft should attempt Backwards Compatibilty is " IF " it will not be detremental to the future of the Xbox One & its games.

" IF " attempting Backwards Compatibilty will negatively affect the future of the Xbox One and its games, then Microsoft should abandon that project and focus on the Xbox One and its games.

The XBox ONE is more than capable of playing 360 games.

Look at "Pinball FX 2".

Like I said, I am not that tech-savvy when it comes to computers & stuff, but I am pretty sure that the emulation process is quite a daunting task as the Backwards Compatibility of the Xbox 360 towards the Original Xbox games resulted in MOSTLY unplayable
game sessions.

Yes. A process so daunting that you could import all your old tables to the ONE version and Zen Studios are the only developers who've so far managed to master it.
