Will Xbox One ever be full 1080p?

The difference between Ghosts (720p) and Forza 5 (1080p) is astonishing to me, but it's not purely down to the resolution but rather the graphics as a whole I think. Forza 5 feels properly 'next gen' to me; lovely game.

[/quote]Please don't get too ahead of your ahead self. COD killer I do not think so. COD has its core gamers who love what COD bring. A simple game for pick up whatever gun you like, no frills gaming, with smooth fast paced or slowwwww placed fps game play.
. Titanfall looks good but it is not cod thus gamers will have to adjust to the jet pack flying around while shooting a moving target which will or will not be a titan. Now guys gotta decide if they want to be in a tin can and go after tin cans or non tin
cans. That is too much for the core COD style of play gamers, who just want a no skill gun with noobed out perks and attachments. Along with some killstreaks that are no skill based which do all the work. Titanfall is a bit halo, battlefield and little cod
if you count the maneuverability of the non titan player. . This is my first and last post on Titanfall because I have learned that COD is a self sustained BEAST. No matter the speculations and theories that COD will be trumped by this game or that game (bf),
it never happens. I am all for change but as of right now I need to play TITANFALL before I can say anymore. All I can go by is the the present and COD is the present. . 2cents.

I understand your point of view (COD 2 HALO)....I have been a die-hard COD player for years, but for me Titanfall will over time be the COD killer.

I'm only willing to commit to playing two or three FPS games. I'm definitely getting Titanfall - it just looks epic. I will also definitely be getting Halo.

So then I'm left with a choice of Destiny, BF and COD....

I won't buy another BF game again after BF4....but likely I will try Destiny (or even Plants vs Zombies) instead of COD. I am not impressed with Ghosts - it's not as good as Black Ops 2....I'm not willing to spend £50 on the same old game year after year.
Maybe I will buy COD every two years (i.e. whatever version Treyarch develop - but steering clear of Infinity Ward).

I would like to agree on that but not completely. Forza 5 has a lot of pre-rendered environments (aka "baked in"). In a sense, xbox one is capable of doing 1080p but more than capable? I guess not. GEt rid of that pre baked it will be 1080p @30fps or 900p
@ 60fps.

 

On Sunday I was playing bf4 on the x1 in the morning which runs in 720p upscalled to 1080p. In the afternoon I was playing the same game on my pc at full 1080p with ultra settings. I tell you what. The difference isn't as big as you think. While the pc does
look a bit sharper I'm still surprised by how good it looks on the x1. And because I sit further away from the tv when plaing x1 it's hardly noticeable at all. And before any one asks why I have it on both, it's because I have friends that play on both. But
the point is. It's really not that great of a difference and don't try to tell me it is because I've seen it with my own two eyes.

Funny you should say that, it's now the outsourced developer Treyarch who are preferable. The real Infinity Ward (who resigned due to EA forcing a rince/repeat every year) are now called Respawn - developers of Titanfall. I stopped with CoD at that time
too, it was stale back then, all downhill from Modern Warfare - God only knows how bad it is now - is there even anyone who's stuck with the series from the original game?

You sir must have an awful display or bad eyes. No offense intended, refrain from thinking it was an attack on you.

 

I don't think it's an attack on me. And I can see the difference. But it certainly is not big enough to be the game breaking disaster that some people are making it out to be. There have been so many resolution threads. And trust me, there is nothing wrong
with my displays. I'm not taking personally at all. It's just that people are making this out to be one of the most important aspect of gaming. Unless you are going to have both consoles and buy the same game on both you really arnt going to notice the difference.

 

Im not going to buy both consoles, I have no interest. My PC is my ultimate xbox (gtx 680).

 

Ah yes. i7 with hd 7970. Like I said, it's not all about graphics. It's about fun with the game that's on the screen. 1080p / 60fps means absolutely nothing if the game is crap and not fun to play. There are better things for people to hassle about. Better
ai, game mechanics and my favourite. Story!!! Been a bit lacking in games lately.

ewww amd card tho. But agree on the game visuals mean very less if it doesnt have fun.
