    Will Xbox One ever be able to switch the inputs on my TV?


    I know that part of the philosophy of Xbox One is that it should be the only device you need to have connected to your television, but this simply isn't realistic yet. Right now I need to have my Xbox 360 hooked up (on HDMI2) and my Xbox One hooked up (on
    HDMI1), with my TiVo DVR connected to Xbox One's HDMI pass-thru.

    The problem occurs when switching between Xbox One and Xbox 360. Example: my son is playing a game of NBA Jam on Xbox 360. Some time later, I come and want to watch TV, so I say "Xbox, On". And.... I'm greeted by a black screen because my TV is on HDMI2.

    My solution for now is a Harmony universal remote. But I'd love for Xbox One to be able to just handle this situation for me...

    Soundbar always changes input whenever Xbox One is turned on

    Whenever I turn my Xbox One on, the input on the my Yamaha Soundbar switches to the TV input (which is an optical input), and has no relationship to the Xbox One. The Xbox One is connected to an HDMI input. When I turn it off, it is on the HDMI input for
    the console. However, when I go back to turn it on, the input switches to TV, as opposed the HDMI input assigned to the Xbox One.

    Is there a command I have to change in the settings so that the input is the correct one on my soundbar when the system is turned on?

    How to connect my xbox 360 to my computer monitor? Please Help

    So I have a 24" BenQ monitor with 2 inputs. I have my computer hooked up to one of the inputs.

    My goal is to have the other one hooked up to my xbox 360 and be able to use the same speakers to play sound from whichever device im using. Without having to switch cords every time I switch from xbox to my desktop or vice versa.

    That way I should only have to change the input on my computer monitor to switch between them.

    I have the xbox 360 HD VGA AV cable but not sure what else I need.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Xbox One is technically backwards compatible.

    When I first heard the rumors of tv on Xbox one I thought I was going to be able to ditch my dvr and Xbox 360 and literally have "one" console instead we have 3 I'm fine with switching inputs on the tv

    Not auto-switching to HDMI input source

    The Xbox One doesn't use HDMI-CEC. Everything simply uses infrared commands. So it's not going to automatically switch inputs to the right one. I suppose it could switch an input if the TV is already on and the code to power on the TV changes the input
    if the TV is already on.

    Thanks, but it should be able to switch sound from game to tv right?

    My receiver has that ARC so shouldn't it be able to switch the sound when switching inputs?
